A look at the sliding and pivot glass doors recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records.

At 3 Juxta Houses in Ipoh, large glass openings became part of the architecture’s identity. On 7 July 2024, the project received two Malaysia Book of Records recognitions.

The recognised installations

• Tallest Aluminium Frame Sliding Glass Door: 6.00 m high × 7.55 m wide.
• Tallest Aluminium Frame Pivot Glass Door: 6.00 m high × 9.35 m wide.

These records recognise completed installations at this project. They are not standard sizes or automatic performance approvals for other buildings.

From ambition to an opening that works

For a bespoke home, the conversation begins with how a space will be used. The frame, glass, hardware, structural opening and installation sequence need to be considered together.

Our involvement in ambitious projects informs that discussion. Bring us your architectural intent, and we can explore the details needed to carry it into fabrication and installation.
